One more First Friday event you should definitely check out: Jewelry boutique Redux is hosting Here and There, Here and There, a show featuring the collaborative works of jewelry designer Pamela Davis and printmaker Jesse Lortz. The show, which goes from 6-9:30 PM, will include jewelry, books and prints by the two inspired by the Modoc Indian story Mt. Shasta and the Grizzly Bears. As they explain:

At first blessed with magical powers, these fierce creatures were later cursed for keeping the Chief of the Sky Spirits' daughter and creating the human race without his knowledge. The imagery invoked in this folk tale shared over some whiskey and a campfire inspired us to collaborate on this, our first joint project, involving silkscreened prints and jewelry.

Davis designs embroidered jewelry for her label MuchoDesign. Lortz is a printmaker, illustrator and musician, and you can follow his blog: CaseStudies. Both live in Seattle.
