Despite his diminutive size, 3'4 actor Warwick Davis is a giant in Hollywood. If you're thinking of one cinematic "little person" who's touched your heart, you're probably thinking of a role played by Davis. Check out these classics of the Davis canon, and see for yourself why he truly is "The Tom Cruise of Midget Actors."

•Willow (1988) Davis stars as Willow Ufgood, who undertakes some quest while caring for some creepy baby. Davis waddles through with enough charm to counteract an annoyingly overeager Val Kilmer, but overall Willow is hackneyed and desperate. Executive producer George Lucas and director Ron Howard rip off a plot from Tolkien and visuals from a Dungeons & Dragons manual, but fail to achieve the former's grandeur or the latter's campy geekiness.

• Return of the Jedi (1983)--Any other midget actor would have phoned in the role of Wicket the Ewok (which mostly consists of jabbing Princess Leia with a spear and exclaiming "grrr!" and "yub yub!"). But Davis gives it his all, bestowing Wicket with a courageous naîveté rarely seen in glorified Teddy Ruxpin dolls.

• Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) Davis plays both Professor Flitwick and a goblin bank teller. Only God (or J.K. Rowling) knows why the title role was given to that hack Daniel Radcliffe--Davis is clearly height appropriate, and way more of a match for that Voldemort bastard.

•Leprechaun: In the Hood (2000) In the fifth installment of this critically acclaimed series, three aspiring rappers steal a magical flute from hiphop mogul Mack Daddy (Ice-T). With the hypnotic flute helping them drop some beats, their rhymes start flowin'... but so does their blood once the Leprechaun (Davis) comes after 'em! Turns out it's his flute, and he's pissed! ("I'll take it from you, homey, you'll see," he raps to a victim, "'cause you know the Lep is the real O.G.") Highlights include a Coolio cameo and the musical finale "Lep in the Hood"--rapped by none other than MC Warwick himself. ERIK HENRIKSEN
