After the first viewing of this film I did feel frustrated and hoped Malick had directed it instead because it felt like it could be so much more but now that I've seen it 3 or 4 times, I really love it just as it is, well except maybe for the last third which could have been edited a bit more. Absolutely worth watching, especially on the big screen.
