Still from Talkdemonics City Sleep video

NW Film Center's annual Reel Music film festival kicks off next week (this year landing in October instead of January, as it has in previous years) and again there will be an evening of Portland music videos, brought to you by an impressive coterie of local directors. This year's crop of 18 music videos features a handful of videos from the past and a big heap of videos from the present; the lineup was curated by director/photographer Alicia J. Rose with assistance from drummer Sara Lund (Unwound, Hungry Ghost, Corin Tucker Band). It also includes one of the first viewings of Rose's new video for Talkdemonic, for the track "City Sleep" from their new album Ruins. We've got the full program for Reel Music's That Was Then, This Is Now: Portland Music Videos after the jump.
