When did Tom Hanks get so extremely unctuous and incredibly unbearable? I think it was right around that damn box of chocolates.

A cameo appearance by Max von Sydow can (at least partially) redeem even the most awful film. He's spent the last 3 or 4 decades popping up in intolerable garbage just to bring a dim ray of light into cinema's darkest, schlockiest corners.
