I never read it. But it came out at a time when I only read things with boy wizards in it. I'm a little older than you though.

***SPOILERY OBSERVATION COMIN ATCHA***

**I AM GOING TO SPOIL SOMETHING**

******HERE I GO*******

one issue I had with the book when I first read it, and still have, is that Charlie's emotional issues are to a large extent chalked up to his being sexually abused by his aunt. It was disturbing to read a book where I totally identified with the protagonist's feeling of being a weirdo outsider—as I assume most people who loved the book did—and then to find out at the very end of the book that the character I'd been identifying with for 150 pages basically had PTSD from being sexually abused. I'm really curious to see if they include that element in the movie.

I SAID I NEVER READ THE BOOK OMG ALISON WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SPOIL IT.

They should do a sequel where they follow-up with Charlie at 30. I still feel like an outsider weirdo - which I'm sure a lot of people still do. Unless, of course, Charlie jumps off the wall at the end. I really haven't read it.

AH, what's a "gournal"?
