I've been assuming that Franco is just channeling Gary Oldman's character in "True Romance." That's what it sounds like, anyway.

I'm amazed that you're ignorant of the details of one of the most prolific Black Nationalistic groups out there. But then... My favourite movie of the past few years. It's not perfect; Gucci Mane's performance is a let down (he's out thugged by Franco) and the ending doesn't live up to all of the dreamy delirium that's built up before it, but there are a panoply of unforgettable scenes and classy, artful elements throughout. Dismiss it at your own peril.
