Results
Andrew Bujalski is one of mumblecore's mumbliest directors. Results is his most conventional film to date, but it's still not very conventional—it's as though Bujalski drew a handful of romcom elements out of a hat (meet cute! Opposites attract! Job that is also a metaphor for loooove!) and dared himself to string together a linear narrative. ALISON HALLETT Cinema 21, On Demand.

Roughly a cross between the movie the Grizzly Man from Grizzly Man might've made and your mom's emails about her cat. VINCE MANCINI Hollywood Theatre.

San Andreas
It's impossible to illustrate catastrophe without humanity, and the California of San Andreas feels about as lifelike as Sim City (although I suppose one could argue how that's a pretty accurate portrayal of Los Angeles). MORGAN TROPER Various Theaters.

recommended Slow West
A story of guns and horses and men, and a woman or two—a western, albeit a contemporary, art-laced, off-kilter one. NED LANNAMANN Academy Theater, On Demand.
