Thanks to our pals at the NW Film Center, we've got your very first look at the trailer for the upcoming 45th Northwest Filmmakers' Festival. YOU'RE WELCOME, PORTLAND.

Directed by Alicia J. Rose, the trailer stars Portland's beloved and inimitable drag clown, Carla Rossi, and it is delightful.

The Northwest Filmmakers' Festival starts Wed Oct 31 and runs through Mon Nov 5, and you can get a look at this year's programming hereโ€”it's a lineup that includes Tara Johnson-Medinger's My Summer As a Goth, animator Joanna Priestley's North of Blue, and whole bunch of shorts, including a slew grouped into geographically specific programs (Idaho: IDentity, Washington: Intrepid Layers, and, easily the one with the best title, Alaska: ALASKA).

We'll have more on the fest once it's closerโ€”in the meantime, you can check out Suzette Smith's write-up of last year's Northwest Filmmakers Festival.
