Oz the Great and Powerful
Oz has a lot going for it—cutting-edge CG, a decent script, and Spider-Man and Evil Dead director Sam Raimi. And while it might seem an impossible task to replicate the greatness of 1939's Wizard of Oz, this prequel is still a wonder to behold—from a visual standpoint, at least, it matches and sometimes betters the original. I'd unequivocally recommend this movie—if it weren't for the casting. James Franco is simply too lethargic, and Mila Kunis shows none of her usual spark.
