She definitely could take herself more seriously, but it turns out she doesn't. She's quite nice and unassuming. I think she takes her work seriously, though– which is why it turns out so well.

There are about a thousand "artists" out there now who sound just exactly like this. Perfectly average elevator music for the iPhone age. Pointlessly sensitive about nothing of substance (witness the incredibly meaningless final paragraph above), nasally expressed, beginning-level guitar playing. Zzzz....
