I wasn't even in high school yet in 1991, so the legendary Clash of the Titans tour was abit ahead of me. Since then, i've been lucky enough to see (& pit to) SLAYER 4 times. I'd really like to see them for a fifth time this Saturday, but i just don't fucking like Megadeth. Unlike SLAYER which fucking owns NOW as they did in 1990, Megadeth fucking sucks now! Sadly, they too were once a great & highly respected band (same goes for Selloutica, an eon ago). Megadeth was a great band when they were a REAL Thrash band & only talked about death & politics pretty-much. They haven't released a great album since 1990. Since then, Dave Mustaine gave up drinking (or tried to, several times), got rid of all the GOOD band mates, became a born-again christian (yuck!), & degraded a once great Metal band into a limp-wristed, stale Hard rock outfit with no balls & plenty of commercial endorsements. SLAYER on the other hand, has been very steady & consistent through-out their entire career. Yeah, they put out ONE not-so-good album. But even SLAYER's worst album is still far better than Megadeth's "best" material from 1994 on.
It's awesome that Testement is on this tour too; i feel like THEY ought to be a fellow touring partner alongside SLAYER. Instead, this "American Carnage" tour has been packaged as basically two major bands, with Testement tagged on as if they were some little bitch-ass opener, WTF! Testement is [atleast] every bit as relevant as Megadeth. Except, Testement have been very reliable & consistant in they releases since the mid-80's. Unlike Megadeth, Testement haven't put out any shitty albums. And unlike Megadeth, Testement's vocalist (Chuck Billy) isn't a sanctimonious christian hypocrite!

Please wait...
