The Near-Ineffable Ms. Lauryn Hill

MS. LAURYN HILL Despite everything since, back in 1998 she changed the game.

5 kids?! jesus, that enough, breeder?
Anyways, i always thought Lauryn Hill was overrated. infact, her career, as hard as she mayhave worked for it EARLY on, is fairly typical of an artist who finds commercial sucess & gets all big over night, only to drop off the map the next day.
And the fact that Hill would make her fans wait for hours only to finally come on stage, proclaim how "awesome" she is, then mash out a robo-list of her top hits before calling it a night - well, that that just shows how she's got this rockstar ideal of herself & maybe she doesn't really have to work for it anymore. Pffft, i'm sure "AN EVENING WITH THE GREAT LAURYN HILL" at the "prestigious" Arlene Schnitzer Hall has already sold out weeks in advance. If she makes her "adoring fans" wait all night then run through a short set, well i'd say they got the show they deserved.

If not the show they paid alot of money for.

It's funny how people who don't like a particular artist find a way to talk shit about them, yet they probably have never been to the artist's show, much less know their setlist. The audience probably gets to the venue way early thinking they'll get a spot before anybody else....you get there early, you wait longer...that's how it works.

Well luckily for me i don't go to big stupid concert halls where i may have to wait hours & hours just for an 80 or 90 minute show.

The "Miseducation of Lauryn hill" was her best record, after that everything went down hill.... That is really unfortunate because she showed true talent. Her style was unique and her lyrics meaningful and inspiring. I hope she gets her shit together and come with it again! I would pay to see her in concert, but if I have to wait more than an hour for her to come out, I dont promise not to throw a chair at her...

Please wait...
