More like Portland's best local band!
2
I can think of seven or eight local bands easily that are way better than these guys.
3
One of the best live shows in town!

Dear DamosA and Geo Liquor,

QUIT IT.

Sincerely,

The Management.

Demise of the power trio? From Los Lonely Boys to Yeah Yeah Yeahs to countless other trios all across the world, the power trio concept in music has probably never been healthier or more diverse. What the hayseed is the writer talking about? Green Day are okay, but as a barometer of anything, come on, they're like the corporate face of punk now, who cares whether they're planning a Xmas album with Celine Dion or whoever. And I love Sons of Huns!

@7: Your invocation of Los Lonely Boys immediately renders everything else you say irrelevant. And I think you missed my point about Green Day.

Oh, that's right, if it's rock music that is melodic, actually features stellar guitar playing and made by people who aren't lily white, it's not hip enough for the Mercury! My apologies, mi amigo. Woudn't wanna upset massa!

Just curious, does anybody at the Mercury actually play in a band? I want to come and throw napkins at you. With lipstick on them.
