FILM—Last week, the Laurelhurst showed Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi horror classic Alien—and this week, they're following that up exactly as they should, with 1986's Aliens. James Cameron's radically different sequel is still one of the finest action movies made—a perfect cocktail of thrills, scares, and a heroic Sigourney Weaver. FILM—Watching I Am Chris Farley is kind of like having whiplash... in a good way. Using clips and interviews from his family and friends, the documentary tells the story of an immensely talented comedian who died far too soon. ENCHANTMENT—Kids, schmids. You don't need a rugrat to enjoy the magic that is Enchanted Forest—a one-of-kind independently conceived amusement park that's like a sculpture park fantasyland on magic mushrooms. Truly one of Oregon's cultural treasures, a summer without a spin through its "European Village," "Western Town," and "Storybook Lane" is a summer misspent. MARJORIE SKINNER
