Shopping is the best goddamn drug on the market. There are so, so many options, but here is a short list of some of the best:

Accessories: Motel, NW Couch between 5th and 6th (Sweet, locally designed jewelry, handbags, and trinkets, most of which are handmade. Also visit the adjoining gallery to say "what's up" to P-town artists); Visage Eyewear, 1046 NW Johnson (You know, wrinkles don't make themselves. Sunshine does); Gilt, 720 NW 23rd (Pretty jewelry that's 10% off for the rest of the month in honor of the store's 10th anniversary! GOD I love sales! UHHHN!!!)

Streetwear: Lit, 214 SW 8th (Lots of indie, urban designs from all over, and an excellent place to find a pair of jeans); Fix, 1914 E Burnside (Check out this newcomer for hand made, classically PDX-DIY style clothing detailed with things like embroidery and screen printing); PDX Fashion Incubator R-evolving showroom, 23 NW 5th (Snap up the fruits of the Incubator's labors before they're selling for four figures in Milan)

Downtown Portland is a Vintage Paradise: Magpie, 520 SW 9th (A superb selection with adorable handwritten labels stating the decade of each item, as well as a sassy comment on each. Also peep the increasingly large selection of locally designed clothing and accessories); Buffalo Exchange, 1036 W Burnside & 1420 SE 37th (Best place to find simple basics for a song) Avalon, 410 SW Oak (The pieces you'll find here are carefully selected and have a warm, historic feel)

Shoes: Imelda's, 3426 SE Hawthorne (A huge selection, with all the trendy styles, plus things you'll wear for years); Otsu, 4181 SE Division (vegan ones!) Johnny Sole, 815 SW Alder (two full floors of boots, sneakers, deadly heels, and cutey-pie flats); Baddoll, 808 NW 23rd (Super cute sneaks and tons of funky-cool options, plus a bonus selection of T-shirts!)
