This story makes no sense. Either her daughter is being held against her will or she is not.

If she is, it shouldn't be difficult to get a court order, search warrant, etc. and just go in and GET her. Despite the bizarre scare stories of the Anonymous/Xenu crowd, the Church of Scientology could not possibly be holding people against their will and be getting away with it. Especially with all the scrutiny they get. Sounds like just another Scientology-hater fairy tale.

Isn't it also odd that it took 15 years for this complaint to be made?
2
There are many other, less obvious ways to hold a person prisoner. Do you know what a "freeloaders bill" is? You can do your homework here:

Bob Dobbs,

You obviously don't know the first thing about cults.

Read up on the subject before you make any more silly statements.
4
Mr Dobbs, I am assuming that you truly don't understand.

Ms Lentsch may have waited this long to lodge an official complaint, because doing so would classify her as an "SP," or suppressive person. An SP is a perceived enemy of Scientology and family members must sever all contact with them. Many family members must choose between whatever sporadic contact is allowed by the Sea Org, and total disconnection.

Ms Lentsch's letter as such represents a great risk and final expression of powerlessness after a long series of efforts to compromise on her daughter's behalf.

Read the full letter that is linked above, from a position of empathy for the mother and daughter. If you do so, you will not be able to prevent yourself from inferring the answers to the questions you pose in your response.

Hey Bob Dobbs, if you want to read one of the best first person accounts ever written about what it is like to be working for the Church of Scientology, here is one from someone who worked for them for 35 years. Could HARDLY be called a hater. If you read it you'd understand a heck of a lot more than you do now. http://counterfeitdreams.blogspot.com/2008/08/introduction.html

"Former Scientologist Susan Lentsch" (who apparently knows all about Church policy) makes a public appeal. Nothing is said about what her "dear, loving, sweet, innocent, passive daughter" wants. Oh no. It is all about what Former Scientologist Susan Lentsch wants. There are telephones. There is email. There is surface mail. There is surface mail, return receipt requested. Get a clue Susan Lentsch. Life goes on, so should you and your laywer-prompted publicity stunt.

Hey Terryeo; how about the HCOPL about SP's? How they are to be done away with quietly and without sorrow? I'm pretty sure she wanted to avoid that.

The head of the Galactic Federation (76 planets around larger stars visible from here) (founded 95,000,000 years ago, very space opera) solved overpopulation (250 billion or so per planet, 178 billion on average) by mass implanting. He caused people to be brought to Teegeeack (Earth) and put an H-Bomb on the principal volcanos (Incident II) and then the Pacific area ones were taken in boxes to Hawaii and the Atlantic area ones to Las Palmas and there "packaged".

His name was Xenu. He used renegades. Various misleading data by means of circuits etc. was placed in the implants.

When through with his crime loyal officers (to the people) captured him after six years of battle and put him in an electronic mountain trap where he still is. "They" are gone. The place (Confederation) has since been a desert. The length and brutality of it all was such that this Confederation never recovered. The implant is calculated to kill (by pneumonia etc) anyone who attempts to solve it. This liability has been dispensed with by my tech development.

One can freewheel through the implant and die unless it is approached as precisely outlined. The "freewheel" (auto-running on and on) lasts too long, denies sleep etc and one dies. So be careful to do only Incidents I and II as given and not plow around and fail to complete one thetan at a time.

In December 1967 I knew someone had to take the plunge. I did and emerged very knocked out, but alive. Probably the only one ever to do so in 75,000,000 years. I have all the data now, but only that given here is needful.

One's body is a mass of individual thetans stuck to oneself or to the body.

One has to clean them off by running incident II and Incident I. It is a long job, requiring care, patience and good auditing. You are running beings. They respond like any preclear. Some large, some small.

Thetans believed they were one. This is the primary error. Good luck.

"Bob Dobbs" is a Scientology cult member.

This is such a sad story. What other "religion" do you know of that monitors it's members calls to it's families and/or makes it impossible for it's members to see their family. What other "religion" won't allow a mother and her child some private time together? Instead they choose to send a "babysitter" along, freaking rediculous!!!!
10
It's pretty obvious who the Scientologists are in these comments section;and it's great to see the same ones popping up all the time!
Terryeo;you should know that communicatng with someone who is in the Sea Org is almost impossible.Mail is read and scrutinised.Telephone calls are monitored.Susan's daughter is obviously being coached into handling what the 'Church' perceives to be a PR flap, and advised on what to tell her mother who is clearly regarded as PTS/SP by your screwed-up cult.Your 'Church' does NOT care about families, all it cares about is good PR and still squeezing the most out of it's Sea Org slaves.Terryeo, when you lie to defend Scientology, you should check yourself to make sure you haven't also sold your soul.
11
I was in the Sea Org. To get a leave you must CSW, or get written approval from your senior and upwards on the command channel. You need to explain who will cover for you and your statistics (production levels)must be uptrending on a graph. Don't expect any quick responses and it can get revoked up to the point you leave. You must also arrange to get a LOA Security Check, this is not easy to do as there is a shortage of auditors to give you one of these. The whole process is frustrating and depressing to go through. No one will outright tell you you can't go on vacation, but the system is set up so that many don't even bother to take time off. And they won't tell you the real reason why they can't get the time off as that would be bad PR (Public Relations). Instead they'll say something like they're too busy right now.

My daughter was promised ONE day off after completing a mission that she was on for over three months. Halfway through her day off she was called back as she had to take tests for a new posting. These tests were not that important and she could take them the next day just as easily, but this shows the uncaring and dictatorial mindset of those in the cult.
12
Terryeo is a Scientology plant. You can find comments about and from him by doing the google dance.

Scientology is a Dangerous Cult.

Their # 1 mission is to extract as much money as possible from unsuspecting people.

Scientology is a terrorist organisation. If they want to silence you they will sue you, have you followed, harass you etc. With the advent of the internet and millions of people finding out what low life scumbags they are, this is becoming more difficult.

Do not be afraid of them. Know that anything that comes out of a Scientologists mouth is a lie.

Their first defense or offense usually is that any criticism of Scientology is criticism of All religion.

This is not true. Scientology stands alone in its oppression of the mind and of unique critical thought.

When you hear the word Scientologist, Narconon, Criminon, do yourself a favor and run away.

Scientology Scumbags. By the way I write for the sole pleasure of tarnishing Scientology's image in every way I can. They are a disgusting organization. Reprehensible and morally bankrupt.
13
Yeah, you'll find my comments here and there. And of course empty headed fools attempt to dismiss anything that doesn't lead to antagonism. The article speaks not of what the daughter wants, nor does it address the daughter's age, for all we know the daughter is 50 years old. But poor, dear, sweet, loving mommy (former scientologist) misses her sweet, innocent, passive daughter. Get a clue.
14
don't feed the trolls
15
Sheesh, Terryeo, looking over your past posts, I think that if they'd chopped her daughter up with an axe and fed her remains to wild animals, you'd still be sticking up for the cult.

WHAT IS THE SECRET THAT THE “ANTI-GOD CULT” CALLED “SCIENTOLOGY” FEARS THE MOST FROM BEING EXPOSED?

The secret most un-exposed about Scientology is that is it an “applied physiological philosophy” rather than an “applied religious philosophy”. All Scientology courses, all auditing processes, and all the management and professional courses are based on physiological phenomenas, psychophysiology, emotions, human behavior patterns etc., that are our birth right and used in Scientology as their own discoveries. Even their PTS-SP data is based upon how a “Symptom” re-stimulation is brought out by physiological reactions of the mind affecting the body when under stress. They blame innocent human beings called by them “suppressive persons” for bringing out a symptom that was there to warn you of hidden real illnesses caused by non-suppressive sources such as parasites, chemicals, poisons, toxins, viruses and bacteria. The data on PTS-SP is twisted by them to blame innocent people in order to keep them in line.

The only way to fight them is to expose to the world--how Scientology has used physiological phenomenas as the basis for a false religion. How it has harmed families by claiming that innocent mothers and fathers are SPs -- when they lied about symptom re-stimulations to the world.

No where in Scientology will you find courses or services on any bible, there is no study or belief in heaven, hell, saints, angels, the devil, or even God himself. They do not study religion or even believe in religions. They do not share common values with any other religion. Their goal is to eliminate all other religions.

The E-meter reads your physiological reactions, the Ronbots never calls it that—they call it the “CHARGE” or the “MASS” or “ENGRAMS” OR “MENTAL IMAGE PICTURES” that you have in your brain—all meant to distract you from the truth.

Know this fact --- There is a law of Nature or law of God called “Physiological Reactions” that is the true secret behind Scientology’s Dianectic study technology.

AUDITING ERASES AND LESSONS YOUR PHYSIOLOGICAL REACTIONS!!! Once they are gone – your symptoms can’t be re-stimulated by stress or arguments. This is NOT a good thing, because ALL doctors depend on symptoms to guide them in treating you! This is why they prohibit you from seeing the doctors of your choice!!! Understand now how the scam works? Now when you argue with your mother and don’t get sick – you think she was the cause of all your illnesses.

If you were audited a hundred times over and over again (repetitive auditing) for a word that you were ordered to never clear or understand, and then made to read a page that contained that word—it would never again read on the Emeter or cause a physiological reaction.
Both Psychiatry and Scientology treats the symptoms of the mind and not the real causes of mental illnesses, one with drugs and one with erasing physiological reactions called Engrams or mental image pictures! Which one is worst? Drugs you can stop, but the other is irreversible and also a dangerous and deadly scam.

With the knowledge contained here, psychiatry will defeat $cientology easily.

LRH discovered that when you passed a misunderstood word—you manifested many reactions of various types: Yawning, sleepiness, not there feeling, dizziness, blurry eyes, nervousness and dozens more.

Being the liar that he was, he claimed that physiological reactions which he now calls “Dianetics” was “‘his” invention and not a law of God; he hid the fact that it is our human inheritance since time began.

Granted that his power of obnosis (observation) was the best in the world, his crime against humanity was to make a “religion” based upon the falsehood, that it was his very own invention or creation and not a law of God belonging to all Humanity as their lawful right.

For proof that the Cult has lied to you: -- Google “L. Ron Hubbard and Physiological Reactions” or visit their own Godless websites:
http://www.studytechnology.org/10-barr.htm or http://www.lronhubbardstudytech.asn.au/10-barr.htm http://www.studytech.org/study_tech3.php
http://www.effective-education.org/pg003.html

LRH used God’s Natural laws to make slaves of mankind!

“So long as a physiological phenomenon remains the knowledge of a few and is denied to the many it can be utilized to control the many.” LRH (from Journal of Scientology Issue 4-G from Oct. 1952)

“This universe has long been looking for new ways to make slaves. Well, we've got some new ways to make slaves here.” LRH (from PDC tape lecture #20 “Formative State of Scientology, Definition of Logic”, given on 6 Dec 52)

"All men shall be my slaves! LRH

All women shall submit to my charms! LRH

All mankind shall grovel at my feet and not know why!" [L. Ron Hubbard, "Affirmations", late 1940s] Affirmations, exhibits 500-4D, E, F & G. See Church of Scientology v Armstrong, transcript volume 11, p.1886.

"Somebody some day will say 'this is illegal'.
By then be sure the orgs say what is legal or not."
L. Ron Hubbard, HCOPL 4 January 1966

"THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN CONTROL PEOPLE IS TO LIE TO THEM”. You can write that down in your book in great big letters. The only way you can control anybody is to lie to them." - L. Ron Hubbard, "Off the Time Track," lecture of June 1952, excerpted in JOURNAL OF SCIENTOLOGY issue 18-G, reprinted in TECHNICAL VOLUMES OF DIANETICS & SCIENTOLOGY, vol. 1, p. 418

"Scientology...is not a religion." - L. Ron Hubbard, CREATION OF HUMAN ABILITY, 1954, p. 251
L. Ron Hubbard’s religion before he discovered physiological reactions was “Satanism”.
He wanted to invent a new religion masked as being good, but in fact was totally evil so that he could take his place on the "Throne of the Beast," which he firmly believed himself to be the rightful heir. Being an evil Satanist he wanted to destroy all other religions and have Scientology as the only religion left on Earth. He wanted to be the RULER of the NEW WORLD ORDER and sit on the Throne of the Beast.

All living beings have physiological (The functions and activities of life or of living matter such as the organic processes of organs, tissues, or cells) phenomenas (observable reactions known through the senses rather than by thought or intuition), or physical manifestations (made evident by showing or displaying) or physical reactions, that we see or feel as symptoms, and they are external and/or internal or visible signs or warnings given to us, by our creator to help us survive, help us increase our potential, our knowledge and our health.
All life on Earth has these cause and effect reactions called physiological phenomenas. All living beings whether they are plant, insect, retile or animal or human could not live without these reactions. They influence the body’s and the mind’s reactions to any form of stimuli, and have an influence on every cell of the body and mind.
[Noun. Physiological reaction – Is an automatic instinctive unlearned reaction to a stimulus.]
[Examples of physiological reactions: inborn reflex, innate reflex, instinctive reflex, reflex response, unconditioned reflex, accommodation reflex, Babinski reflex, belching, headache, migraines, swelling, sweating, erections, blinking, blushing, burping, defecation reflex, disgorgement, involuntary eye blinking, farting, skin flush, gag reflex, goose bump, goose pimple, gooseflesh, involuntary gulping, involuntary hiccup, knee-jerk reflex, light reflex, puking, papillary reflex, rectal reflex, regurgitation, shaking, shiver, shock, sneezing, startle, stretch reflex, suckling reflex, trembling, upset stomach, vomiting, involuntary winking, yawn, yawning -- plus hundreds more.]
Ron studied Physiological reactions more than most scientists and applied it to invent a new Religion.
He did not invent but copied the laws of nature and scammed the whole world into thinking that he alone discovered these reactions and no one else did. What he did do - was noticed the reactions of students and from this scam invented Dianetics “study tech”.
Examples of Physiological reactions of the body and mind when reading:
Falling asleep while reading - yawning, confusion, feeling blank, feeling anxious, not there feeling, tearing eyes, eyes going out of focus, dizziness, reeling, rebelliousness, headaches, skipping words, feeling nauseous, fidgeting, jumpy while reading, can’t stay still, mispronouncing words, feeling as if you are squashed, feeling as if you are over-whelmed, twitching, can’t apply what you are reading, can’t understand what you are reading, etc. are all due to physiological reactions when you read misunderstood words or misunderstood definitions.
The Cult’s method of healing called “Touch Assist” is nothing more than erasing the physiological reactions of PAIN. Physiological reactions are the clues from the law of God called “The Law of Cause and Effect”; for every action there is a reaction. A complete understand of these two laws of God can be used to learn to self-heal.
To understand the sinful secrets of your enemy –is to know exactly where to hurt him.
Scientology’s copyrighted files on based upon the laws of Nature and laws of God; they are in violation of copyrights and patent rights. Therefore, the contents or subjects can be used by anyone and can be talked about without fear of any lawsuit.
Everything you do produces a reaction in your body and mind. Every time you read, eat, sleep, rest, run, etc. produces a reaction.
To tell your mother that you invented a new religion, because you discovered why you farted, is a good example of the scam that Ron pulled on you. He got away with it because the world did not see these reactions as they applied to reading. Or if some scientist saw and knew it—he did not protest it and allowed a Cult to claim it as their own new discovery.
If you want to destroy the cult, study your own reactions each time you do something—learn to read yourself and use your own power of obnosis to discover the real world within and around you.

Yours truly

My niece and nephew are in the Sea Organization, in Clearwater and L.A. respectively. Her dad sees her 2X a week for dinner together. My nephew went to my son's birthday party last week, and we spent time with my nephew and my family in our visit to L.A. 2 months ago. He came with us to the Dodger game and another ballgame. He visited his dad for a week in May and came to our house and played Madden football with my kid.

We have never experienced a problem. I think part of this is that these people are very dedicated and they themselves sometimes need to make the time. This whole "kept against their will" is BS.

mkus: Yes, "kept against their will is BS." Right.

Perhaps you also believe that "battered wife syndrome" doesn't exist--that the woman WANTED to be abused--and perhaps even deserved it! "What an ungrateful bitch," you might even say!

The real truth:
** Scientology especially preys upon people who suffer from anxiety or emotional instability. These individuals are the most vulnerable to being GUILTED into giving up tens of thousands of dollars for asinine "auditing" and other pseudo-science/healthcare/religious practices. Individuals who find these ideas incredible should look up "Stockholm Syndrome."

--Working for McDonalds would likely pay more than working for SeaOrg, Scientology's "elite" organization. Wouldn't a JUST and GOOD organization pay their employees a decent wage? David Miscavige, the head of Scientology, lives in sybaritic luxury while Scientology's "slave laborers" in the Rehabilitation Project Force toil away--this should outrage anyone with a sliver of heart.

--It's ironic that Scientology (Tom Cruise: "We're the experts on the mind") doesn't believe in psychology: they use sophisticated behavioral-science-driven techniques to MANUFACTURE CONSENT--which includes getting their hapless followers to give up TONS OF MONEY.

This is not the work of a just, good "church" -- THIS IS THE WORK OF A NEFARIOUS CULT!

I was in the Church of Scientology for 25 years. There are thousands of stories just like Susan Lentsch's and she is right when she said the church said, "You, yourself, have denied publicly that Scientology disconnects families." The church denies many things that are true. As a staff member of Scientology for many years it was OK to lie, alter or suppress any public communication that would cause people to look at the church in an unfavorable way. The problem is there are millions of ex-Scientologist who are telling the truth about the cult. Scientology's biggest problem is free speech. Free speech doesn't exist inside the church and they do everything they can to suppress it outside but in some cases the church has booted out members in an attempt to stop the avalanche of negative press. The member has no choice as to whether they wish to stay or leave. Basically the church is anti-family. Married staff members are told not to have children since they take time away from much more important duties. I'm glad I'm out. This church needs to be stopped.

The True Story Of Scientology
http://www.rehabilitatenz.co.nz/pages/true-story-of-scientology.html

The true story of ScientologyÂź is simple, concise and direct. It is quickly told:

1. A philosopher develops a philosophy about life and death.
2. People find it interesting.
3. People find it works.
4. People pass it along to others.
5. It grows.

When we examine this extremely accurate and very brief account, we see that there must he in our civilization some very disturbing elements for anything else to he believed about ScientologyÂź.

These disturbing elements are the Merchants of Chaos. They deal in confusion and upset. Their daily bread is made by creating chaos. If chaos were to lessen, so would their incomes.
24
Plain & simple: What Scientology will be remembered for is being a Psycho-Terror Cult.
25
I LOVE watching you morons spend your entire life arguing about Scientology on the net as if it really matters! Keep wasting your lives, tards!
26
Piddle,

Then why are you here?
27
Glad you enjoy the show, Piddle. And it does matter - it's not as if we're talking about Star Wars vs. Star Trek, we're discussing an organization that's damaged thousands of people, that operates under the guise of dozens of cover names, that cannot change for the better as it considers every criticism to be an attack and retaliates by destroying its critics lives.

The Church of Scientology needs secrecy for its more covert operations (eg. Applied Scholastics) and spends millions of dollars trying to clean up its deeply tarnished image. Every (sensible) critical comment posted on the net breaks the secrecy, exposes the flaws and pushes the organization towards genuine, transparent reform.

I'm glad the CoS isn't important to you, and hope it remains that way - make sure no-one you know gets sucked into it.

I have read both pro & con statements re: Scientology for some time now. Some of my thoughts:
- Although I have never been a member of this group, could it be that at least some of what Scientology teaches is worthwhile, but that the organization running it has some serious problems? Years ago, I took EST training, which helped me tremendously at the time. Yet I, and others I knew, thought the organization running it - including its founder, Werner Erhardt - was a mess. It seemed very rigid, practically commanded us to bring in new members (read: new money into their coffers), and did some other strange things.
Unfortunately, many of the leaders of these groups have 'Strong' personalities, and others end up liking them or hating them!
I ran across a web site once which consisted of Scientologists who liked what they learned from it, but who no longer were connected to the organization.
They seemed to confirm my hunch that, for some at least, the philosophies of the group was fine, but the organization was not.
- Studies of those who have been in cults, are in cults, etc., show that many are idealists. THey are attracted to groups like Scientology because it conforms to the idea that the world can be made a better place, and shows them a way, in detail, as to how it is to be done. Many idealists cling to whatever belief system(s) they have re: how the world must be 'saved', to the point that they will defend their ideas, at all costs.
This could be a reason why the daughter will not, or cannot, see her Mom. The Mom is an ex-member; often there is tremendous dissonance between such a person and someone who is currently a member of their former belief network. Many former cult members have told me how they now hate the group they were in, etc. If this Mom sees the daughter, perhaps the two just end up fighting about Scientology, and the daughter can't stand it. It would be a rare person who would leave a group with such unusual and extreme ideas, and not have bitter memories, etc., and also not try to talk her loved one to leave, as well.
Also, are there still people out there who kidnap cult members in an effort to deprogram them? If so, maybe the daughter is wary of such an attempt on the part of the mother.
On the other hand, it is very plausible to me that Scientology has brainwashed the daughter not to meet with the mother, telling her this would be dangerous, etc. Someone who works at the Sea Org is very isolated, according to what I've read. It would be hard to gain a 'neutral' point of view on meeting an outsider, an ex-member no less.
I have had a lot of personal experiences with religions that have 'extreme views'. As I tend to question such views, to the point that I can't be a member of such a religion, the vast majority of people in these religions really don't want to have much to do with me (which is ok with me, by the way).
I don't think this behavior is unique to Scientologists.
-ONe of the comments stated that Scientology was completely alien from other religions, because it doesn't discuss God, angels, etc. Well, Buddhism doesn't do that either, yet is considered a religion! Buddhism emphasizes right speech, right actions, etc. It doesn't discuss a deity.
My opinion is that many religions diverge tremendously from others, particularly those some would consider mainstream, but this doesn't mean they aren't a religion to some people. Rastafarians smoke marijuana, yet is a religion. Most pagans I know emphasize nature, but many other religions do not.
-It has been very interesting to study people's perceptions re: Scientology. Ironically, as 'extreme' as Scientology can be, its critics seem to be just as extreme. I have taken the policy to read about it, as well as to read its critics, keeping a neutral mind.

Yeah, one of the reasons Anonymous protests against Scientology is because its upper management (well, its current leader, at any rate) is completely batshit insane and they don't treat their members well enough. There's a thing called "Free Zone" which is basically Scientology beliefs/materials without the crazy leaders and unrealistic fees to progress/learn more.

Anyways, this is really a followup on something that happened in March or April, around the time of "Operation Reconnect". The mother (the one who wrote this current letter) was originally planning on reading aloud an open letter to the Church of Scientology, criticizing them for forbidding her daughter from contacting or meeting her.

The Church of Scientology realized what bad publicity it would be (after hearing that the mother was going to do an interview about it), and quickly made her a deal. If she didn't do the interview, and didn't participate in the April global protest against Scientology, she could meet with her daughter and they could discuss it.

She took the deal, and after being promised that she could regularly see her daughter (who did seem to genuinely enjoy speaking to her and spending time with her), agreed to drop the interview and not go to the protest and withdraw her earlier complaints.

It's been 5 months, and the Church hasn't made good on its promise.

THIS is from March, when she first had the freedom/safety of Anonymous' backing to call out the Church of Scientology for its actions. On page 2 of the linked thread, she says she got to meet her daughter.

People are pissed, Scientology.

The Sea Organization is the equivalent to a monastic order or a convent for Scientology. People just don't seem to get that. How many monks visit their families? How many give up their vows of silence? Whoever does, does by their own choice.

I've worked in the Sea Organization. Seeing family is really not a big deal at all. I never had a problem taking a vacation either.

It sounds to me like the elder Lensch is just being a big pain in the butt. I had an aunt like that. No one in the family wanted to talk to her. She would just nag, nag, nag. Kind of like the fishwives from Monty Python.

Scientology helps people become more able to handle their lives and help their friends and family. It helps people become more aware of their personal foibles so the foibles can be lessened or removed.

If a person in Scientology, truly wants to become a better person and is honest with themselves, they WILL become better people. It can't be helped. They just become better people.

However, if a person wants to become a better person but doesn't want to be honest about who they are, they won't become better people. They just blame others for not making them more honest.

Scientology doesn't make anyone a perfect child or parent or relative. One has to work hard to better oneself and to learn to love one's fellow man in spite of all.

Any religious (and nearly any) organization has detractors, apostates, horror stories, etc.

Just like divorces, there can be quite a bit of rancor from one or both parties.

The stories in the news and online tend to be the stories of the bitter exes. The ones who drag divorce proceedings on for years.

Scientologists as a whole, at all echelons, are decent, hardworking people who are attempting to make a more decent, crime free and drug free world.

The general attacks are red herrings by those who refused to get their own lives in order and need to blame the church for their own misdeeds or lack of responsibility. It's quite sad, actually.

Hopefully, one day, the bitter exes will redirect their vitriol and use it against drug dealers, human traffickers, pedophiles, and other truly evil people who destroy in such mass quantities nearly everyone goes into apathy about stopping those horrors.

^I don't recall ever reading or hearing anything about monastic orders that Fair Game their critics or commit numerous human rights violations. I also don't know of any that are currently being tried for fraud in France. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jJpNCete34X61LVRyecYxVfy0wLwD933A14O0
Whats REALLY sad is your pathetic attempt to paint a rosy picture of the Sea Org. Astra Woodcraft was in the Sea Org and her time there was anything BUT a walk in the park. Go to exscientologykids.com to read her story.

Among the charges in France, they are accused of illegal distribution of pharmaceuticals. Narconon, a COS front group that masks itself as a 'drug rehab clinic', is in fact a means of disseminating the COS propaganda and preying on families who shell out big bucks to help their loved ones. One of their methods is sitting in a sauna for hours and hours and ingest niacin, which in high doses can cause liver damage. There are many testimonies and victims accounts of young children being sexually assaulted by older members. On April sixteenth, 1989, Bob Mills committed suicide. The Scientologist was approaching OTIII (Operating Thetan level three) and was reported to have been abusive of one girl to such an extent that he was going to be taken to court over the issue. There are also reports that the COS is breaking immigration laws by bringing people from places like Mexico, Spain, Israel, Argentina, Brazil and Africa on 'religious worker' visa's to be used as cheap slave labor.

Wow, what do you know? It seems the critics ARE going after 'drug dealers, human traffickers, pedophiles, and other truly evil people.'

Hey Mad Hatter,

I agree that "Scientologists as a whole, at all echelons, are decent, hardworking people...". I know, because I was a Scientology Staff member myself. I miss my Scientology friends.

But Mad Hatter, you are either completely uninformed, or you are in total NON-CONFRONT on this matter. Perhaps you were in the SO at the time when it was easier to get Libs and LOAs. Do your research, friend, and find out what's been happening in your Church.

The grief Susan Lentsch is having is that the Administration of the Church is NOT KEEPING ITS PROMISE. Are you not seeing that? Had Katherine been able to take her vacations and visit family, this would so totally be A NON-ISSUE!

Listen buddy, it took me a few years to see this, even after leaving staff. Please do your research, maybe even do the doubt formula in a new unit of time....

Do you really think that all these decent folks out here would be spending so much time dealing with these issues just for the hell of it? C'mon! Get real. We want to get on with our lives; we have better, happier, brighter things to do with our lives. But knowing what we know, we are taking this time, dealing with the strife, and confronting the wrongness. It is NOT easy and we don't relish having to do this.

OBNOSIS, Mad Hatter, look at the OBVIOUS.

I'm cracking up that one of the $cibots "Kevin Owen" not only used the term "merchants of choasÂź" (can you even think in your own terms anymore Kevin or is all Hubbardisms now?) but that he also inserted the Âź symbol anytime he used the word $cientologyÂź. Pretty bad when you have to worry about your own "religion" suing you for trademark infringement for posting a comment on a message board. Or they might just throw you into "ethics" handling, which costs lots of $$$, for the flap. Ethics handling must be the punishment b/c another of their "religious' tenants is that you are an automatic SP if you sue another $cientologist. Strange rule, almost paranoid don't you think? Try to think of another "religion" that would force you to Âź anytime you typed its name. Catholic Church Âź TM "all rights reserved" it's pathetic that Kevin just mindlessly follows a rule that is an huge red flag to any non-brainwashed individuals. Keep up the $cientologyÂź comments Kevin, it only helps us "merchants of chaosÂź TM"
