Sadly New England's Cod and other species of fish were severely over fished for a couple of centuries. I am from there, have'nt been back in quite a while but I know both my cousins lost their jobs in the industry (one had a lobster boat I worked on for 2 summers). I wonder if it will ever recover, honestly. That song is still hysterically funny btw
