WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!? Up to 25% of units in bigger complexes to be rented out short term??!?!? (Alla AirBnB).

This is the such a HORRIBLE idea! The price of apartments in Portland is already insane; allowing this will make it even WORSE. It will also take away all of those apartments from the already horribly short supply!

NO NO NO NO!!

Hi, Mike. You're reading past the part that puts that cap in Austin, and only in specific parts of Austin. As we point out, the cap under consideration in Portland is no more 10 percent of buildings citywide, with a minimum of at least one unit.

Great. Taking much-needed housing away from city residents so tourists can stay in it. It's becoming more and more clear that this city government could give a shit less about what the residents of this city actually need. This town is a joke.

However it works, I just wish people would stop calling it "sharing"

It's not sharing, it's selling. I'm not here to debate whether or not people have a right to sell their property (goods or services).

But stop pretending it's something other than straight-up, bald-faced capitalism.

Please wait...
