I thought gentrification was supposed to have run all these gangs out of North and Northeast Portland. How come they can find affordable housing but I can't?

I'm really disappointed the Mercury picked this story up. The gang "problem" in Portland is reaching mythological proportions with the PPB asserting that when any Black person is involved in a crime, then it's a gang incident. It doesn't help that other local rags like KATU are slobbering at the chance to post another "Ganglandia" story.
