I thought I read something about the city having a 25 million surplus? Why can't some of that money be used for Charlie's pet projects?

With the influx of people, and businesses making more money, the city also wants a piece of the action. How dare businesses succeed without having to pay more to the city.

I'm not opposed to businesses/corporations paying their fare share, but goddamn, you have 25 million in the bank and you want them to pay more? And you do know how businesses are going to pay for this tax increase, right? By increasing the price of whatever it is they're selling… so, you see, we ALL get to pay for Charlie's pet projects.

Let us take a break from all these taxes before you ask/demand/mandate/impose any more, will ya?

There is absolutely no need for spending money on homeless. Open up the Peter Stott Center at Portland State University. It's a perfectly good recreation center. There was no need to spend $100,000,000.00 for the new one, but they did, so now they can just let homeless sleep on the floors of the basement hallways, and take showers in the morning in time before the janitors have to clean up, anyway.

Police body cameras are no substitute for professional journalists, but everybody carries a radioactive cancer causing cell phone nowadays, anyhow, so let them record the abusive fucking pigs, who will be seen on Youtube if they try and grab the phones.
