I support shutting down all high crash corridors and creating autonomous zones for people to camp and live. All traffic can be rerouted through neighborhoods filled with NIMBYs and they can FINALLY bear some of the brunt of this housing crisis.

Dozens of autonomous zones can be created much faster than these safe rest villages held up by NIMBYs and bureaucratic red tape. You simply shut down the intersections, put up concrete barricades, reroute the traffic and viola! You have a safe area for the houseless to permanently live.
