Please check your facts regarding the Albina Ministerial Association. This Association of Ministers has a long history in Portland beginning with its formation in 1958 as an organizing of black and white ministers interested in Black Economic, Educational and Community Development issues. In the early 70's I attended many AMA meetings addressing issues of race relations in this city. Although it's visibility and activity may have increased after the shootings mentioned, its long standing involvement in many positive community activities should not be down played or overlooked.
