The ordinance made my neighborhood more livable. Before it was passed there was no way to walk across Powell Blvd to the grocery stores at 17th because of the continuous party going on by "homeless" drunken middle-aged white men. Children and women would not cross that gauntlet, and even a big guy would think twice about it. I am really curious why so many people feel so sorry for these guys, what about the rest of us who live and work downtown? I've been sworn at, mocked, threatened, and even beat up, just by living where I live and asking for a little respect.
