Damn paper-tiger middle class liberals there in that town need to hold their law enforcement officers accountable; this kind of weaseling out--as opposed to straight discipline of their officers--adds more to an already hostile environment involving the police and community.
The justification of this by most (white, affluent) communities in Portland is "their job is difficult." True, but their title isn't a blank check to act irrationally.
If I got shot in the back with a beanbag, my first instinct is to reach for the site where I was injured--right?
EXACTLY! What many dumbasses fail to recognize is that Campbell actually WAS obeying police orders! He walked out of the apt. with his back to the cops, with his hands on his head, just as Officer James Quackenbush instructed him to do over the phone. These pigs all knew good 'n goddamned well that Campbell was not armed. Campbell never put up any physical resistance, so Officer Ryan Lewton had NO RIGHT to shoot him in the back with beanbag rounds.
Every pig at the [murder] scene that night must be FIRED, & Officers Lewton as well as Ron Frashour should be charged with MURDER!
