"We take it pretty seriously that we not overcharge something," Ramras says. "And we want to make sure we have something that the evidence will support." Translation: We feel we could convince a jury in a civil suit, just not in a criminal prosecution, since the evidence is pretty weak. You are a fucking liar.

Holy shit. I am moving to Portland this coming summer, coincedentally to attempt a go at a civil rights oriented law degree, and this is like the NTEENTH story of police brutality I have read about. I am flooded with them every time I get online to do any research into my forthcoming new, awesome city. This is amazing. And totally infuriating. Are there any key players names I should keep an eye and ear out for in this ring of obvious corruption, other than, clearly, the Cheif of the P.P.D.? And am I to believe that the Mayor "opted out" of having a D.o.J. oversight task force? Or am I confusing this with another city? And how much weight does Portland Copwatch weild?

I know that fomenting racial violence, hatred, stereotypes and fear is your bread and butter, but I was wondering if you had any interest at all in the shady-at-best foreclosure proceedings against Alicia Jackson in Portland, conducted by Multnomah County Sheriffs, the apparently corrupt Portland water bureau, and the 'mortgage company' claiming to be her landlord?

Even though Occupy is no more than a 'quaint' memory in your mind today - as in Bush AG Gonzales calling the Geneva Convention(s) 'quaint' while crafting his torture memos - some of us were hoping you might still have a journalistic drop of blood in you that would find massive financial fraud and local government corruption, and the dire social consequences represented by the case of Ms. Jackson, an Iraq War veteran, resulting therefrom, a story.

Once again the Portland Police deliver a colossal load of complete fiction.

Please wait...
