Hmmm, could it be that the police union is a self-serving group that
1) refuses to change
2) refuses to discipline its own
3) all while extoring healthy salary and benefits from the taxpayers

and I am pro-cop. I realize they have a very difficult job and, especially in Portland, frequently have to deal with the mentally ill.

Public unions should be abolished.
