As soon as every scoundrel dies, he suddenly becomes a saint, along with his poor, grieving widow. The fact is that we know nothing about the deceased in this case, because none of his patients are around to eulogizes for him. Just as we know nothing about human trafficking from the Portland State University study which the widow uses as pretext to scapegoat entrepreneurial street walkers as diversion away from organized crime run local brothels which prostitute foreign women who have been abducted and forced into service.

Giving any politician a free pass based on lip service is not investigative journalism. How about the Merc sends a reporter under cover to the many brothels in Portland and doing an expose. One thousand police officers in Portland, and all they can do is harass the local working girls on the street, while organized crime makes campaign contributions if not out right bribes to corrupt politicians. Not to put too, fine a point on it.
