• A Decade After Federal Directives, Portland Police Will Start Using Body Cameras Full-Time
A long-delayed plan to outfit the Portland Police Bureau with body cameras is expected to be implemented next year. The city's $2.6 million contract with Axon comes years after the company lobbied the city and helped inform body camera policy in Portland.
