OMG! I really want that Draft Sarah Palin shirt in pink! Someone buy it for me! I just don't want to actually give money to these idiots. They don't need the encouragement.
2
That was my problem, too. What I really wanted was a "Don't Tread on Me" flag, but all I got was an "Obamanation" pin for free...
3
goddammit....now I can't eat at Michael's anymore. And their fries were so tasty...
4
I'd take the pin, except it won't work with my John Kitzhaber costume.

What an amazing gumbo of mixed messages and crazy symbolism.

"What an amazing gumbo of mixed messages and crazy symbolism."

I'm curious as to why you think Obama's campaign didn't have just as many absurd claims pushed through advertising/singing/youtube?
7
@?pg: You're creating a false dichotomy and making up things that you think atomic was positing.
8
Wow, enough anti-Obama folk to almost fill up a small parking lot! Impressive.

Meanwhile, we're on the brink of passing Universal Health Care in Congress. Suck it, T-baggers!

I don't agree with the protest and the gear they're trying to sell is dumb, but Michael's is still cool in my book. Love the dogs they serve there. Yes the owner (Michael?) is a crusty republican coot but he'll actually talk to you about the issues he believes in. I've had a couple debates with him that went beyond the usual rhetoric and he makes some intelligent arguments.

Personally, I think the Obama campaign was very slick from a graphic design and message control standpoint.

But to back up my claims of amazing gumbo (not the first time I've had to write that, and probably not the last):

The "Don't Tread on Me" or Gadsden Flag: The rattlesnake was originally a symbol of colonial American unity.

"Why so socialist?": I feel like the Joker has at no time advocated for the nationalization of infrastructure.

"Stop Global Whining": What does that even mean? Is the globe whining? Are people whining about the globe too much? How are we defining whining? Because I feel like wearing a shirt like that may constitute a glass house on the issue of whining.

And of course, the "Freedom isn't Free" shirt at an anti-tax rally. Bravo madam, you are the best of all.
11
Boy, look at those thousands!
12
Oh no, those signs make perfect sense. To wit, the "As a mom" sign. If my eye don't deceive, its coherent message reads as such:

"As a mom, we are anonymous. We are legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us. We the people. Expect us."

Enough said.

"We're here, we're queer, no more bears!"
13
I too believe that Freedom Isn't Free. That is why I also refuse to pay taxes!....and Tip!
14
Those "Chicago" sausage sandwiches are good, but I'll try Bunk next time.
15
Like atomic already mentioned, the "Stop Global Whining" tote is pretty great. What exactly constitutes whining in the tea-bagging handbook?

Damnit, I wish I would have known this was happening. Something I really want to do is go around a gathering of these idiots with a roster sheet, and ask each and every one of them to pledge that they will not accept government entitlements in the form of Medicare or Social Security ever in their life... and as a form of commitment, to sign my sheet so we can send it to the Medicare and SS offices in Washington.

The looks on their faces when they're asked to do that... man.

Seeing your children hit by a car in front of you would have nothing on that.

Oh.....this is a blog, I get it. I was wondering where the "reporter's" objectivity was. The wonder is that in a solidly left of center area of Oregon there would be enough right of center folks to fill a parking lot. There are certainly not many opportunities to even have a discussion never mind how to argue just because people don't know how to debate. Years ago when education was 'rounded' kids were taught how to debate around the kitchen table as well as in school. Know what debate is? And they could take one side and in the next round take the opposite. It was fun. It was informative (can't win if you don't know the facts) Everybody seems to take any sort of negative these days as a personal affront. Grow up!

This sums up the teabagger just perfectly: http://troubletown.com/uploaded_images/tto…
