"This collection is the first where I feel I really found my voice," says Barbara Seipp of the fall 2010 edition of her Isaac Hers line, officially launching this week. "I hate buying something that I never seem to find the right occasion to wear it. I want women to be able to wear fashion-forward pieces every day, not just on special occasions." And thus she nails down just what is so appealing about these versatile, flattering shapes, from the body-hugging go-to Orion dress, to the waist-cinching hooded Astro wrap jacket, to the high-waisted Andromeda pants, which with their long, ribbed, zippered ankles are the only pair of black pants you'll need this season.

"I think it is a tie actually, between the Vega coat and the Galaxy dress," says Seipp when I ask her to choose her own favorite from the pile. "The coat is great because it is actually a dress design that is made with remnant Polartec fleece. So, you get to wear your cozy technical fleece and look great in it."

Seipp recently decided to join the lineup at this year's Portland Fashion Week, where she'll show a spring line that one hopes proceeds in the direction witnessed here. In the meantime, this week you can be among the first to take these beauties out for a spin.
