More Answers for Pacific U

Sometimes I work at Pacific University (P.U., haha) with a catering company, and I gotta say, those kids are COMPLETELY unprepared for life after school! Even more so than the "graduates" of Camp Lewis & Clark.

Dude, I graduated from there. Yes, it would have been nice if the school taught me how to balance a checkbook or stretch a grocery dollar, but if you graduated and felt unprepared for life outside FoGro, it's your own damn fault. Pacific offers shit tons of resources for job hunting, internship hunting, apartment hunting, grad school hunting, and applying for all of those things. Don't hate, man.

P.S. Thanks for coming out, Dan! It made my whole year. Also, next time you head to that small coastal town we talked about, let me come along and play tour guide?

"Yes, it would have been nice if the school taught me how to balance a checkbook or stretch a grocery dollar,"

These are things I'm teaching my two kids currently (we just opened bank accounts last week.)

Why do you think this is something a college is supposed to be teaching adults?!

My niece goes there. Hope she was in the audience.

It seems that most of the questions were pretty stupid to begin with.

The more you fuck with the Christians who are actually on your side, the more they're going to think the gays are a bunch of pissy assholes, and perhaps rightfully so.

I'm hoping he answered the good ones in person, because this selection, oy!

I don't have experience with santorum, but there is a fantastic product in the Spray 'n Wash section called Zout that has never failed me. Even if a stain has gone through to the dryer you can Zout it out.

I don't think this is something a college is supposed to be teaching adults, which is why I said "it would have been nice IF" and not "my college totally failed me because they never even considered teaching me this, the sons of bitches." We had a class my senior year of high school that was supposed to teach us all that, but I (and everyone from my graduating class that I still speak to, which is about half), felt that it was totally irrelevant and unhelpful at that point in our lives. A class like that would have been useful at the end of my college experience. That's all. Sheesh.

Good for you teaching your kids these things. I applaud that.

"Would have been nice if [they did]" and "[they are] supposed to" are different things, w9gMhnc4YRjBKdu_FF2ZkqcNwQcORt3FiMzi3kZ1zv7gk7qE_, so your question is a non sequitur. For example, it would've been nice if the pretty pharmacy tech with the nice chest who rang up my order tonight had also given me a complimentary blow job, but good luck convincing her that it's something that she's "supposed to" do. ;)
