You are pretty much full of shit in your advice where you minimize behavior that is harmful to others. While it's important to understand that no one is perfect, it's also important to hold others accountable. It is particularly important to understand that lying to another person is a way of abusing power. You abuse your power, by holding information from another, so they can't make a choice based on the truth. While this abuse of power is common place, you should not defend it, or call others creepy for responding to mendacity by trying to learn the truth.
