Hope you've got some room on your dance card for Friday night, because November's First Friday has two must-attends. The irst is the grand opening celebration of Aequanimitas, a joint-venture shop from Heather Treadway and Rachelle Waldie in the 811 E Burnside building. In addition to their own designs (Treadway specializes in high-end artistic takes on that most dramatic piece of outerwear, the cape, and Waldie, AKA Greaterthan3, is known for costuming for the theater and musicians like Deelay Ceelay), they will also host the goods from Erhart and Meagan Hardy, jewelry from Seahag and Walrus, and ceramics by Jamin London Tinsel. Things will start getting especially grand with a performance by the Northwest Professional Dance Project, costumed by Waldie, and music from % owner/operator. (Aequanimitas Grand Opening, Friday, 811 E Burnside #119, 6-10 pm, free)

Meanwhile, just down the road at Holocene, Lille Boutique will present a runway show of lingerie designed by Feng-Feng Yeh (pronounced, awesomely, "Fun Fun Yay") of Savant. Savant is a relative newcomer to the official fashion industry, who debuted her collection of womenswear in New York for Spring 2009. Prior to that she designed weekly costumes for the Six Six Sick party she co-founded (named "Best New Party" by Paper). Even then, some of those pieces wound up in magazines like Metro Pop and the cultural cud that is Vogue's "Fashion Rocks" supplement. Now she's getting into lingerie, and Lille is your ticket to a piece of it. The day after the runway show they'll host a trunk show with Yeh in attendance. (Savant fashion show, Friday, Holocene, 1001 SE Morrison, 8:30 pm, free; trunk show, Lille Boutique, 1007 E Burnside, 12-6 pm, free)
