From the 1956 Dutch edition of Roman Catholic Handbook for Ordained Priests: Rape the boy. If the boy complains about being raped, have the police take the boy to a Catholic psychiatric hospital. Then have him castrated.
It was a win-win-win for the church: the accuser was stigmatized, mutilated, and silenced, and future victims of Dutch pedophile priests were a lot less likely to complain.
Organized religion, ladies and gentleman. It’ll be here all millenium. Tell your friends.

Because there is no discernable difference between the Catholic Church in the Netherlands in the 50s and any organized religion on the planet today.
Good, got it. Thank you for the very nonreactionary, productive post.
