This doesn't even make sense but I made it anyways.

“Do you think it is accidental that the name of the really vicious, fire-breathing, four-eyed, whatever-it-is villain in [The Dark Knight Rises] is named Bane?” Rush Limbaugh shouted yesterday. “A lot of people are going to see the movie. And it’s a lot of brain-dead peopleโ€”[the] entertainment, the pop culture crowdโ€”and they’re going to hear ‘Bane’ in the movie and they’re going to associate Bain. And the thought is that when they’re going to start paying attention to the campaign later in the year, and Obama and the Democrats keep talking about Bainโ€”not Bain Capital but Romney and Bainโ€”that these people will start thinking back to the Batman movies: ‘Oh yeah, I know who that is!'”

This one took me forever :(

  1. No one half way intelligent sees a Bane Bain link except Rush, WSJ and similar idiots.

As if the WSJ is a reputable news source. Hilarious! Who stole the story from who? Was it Rush of WSJ? hahahaha

  2. They complained about this when Star Wars Episode III came out as well. Something about “If you’re not with me, then you’re my enemy” reminded them too much of Bush saying “Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.”

  3. So Bane is Romney… and Batman is Obama… Gotham City is the economy… Catwoman is feminism… Morgan Freeman is… The Penguin?!

  4. Vis a vis the definition of the word, Batman chose well, Bain chose poorly*.

    To wit:
bane โ€‚ โ€‚[beyn] Show IPA noun
    1. a person or thing that ruins or spoils: Gambling was the bane of his existence.
    2. a deadly poison (often used in combination, as in the names of poisonous plants): wolfsbane; henbane.
    3. death; destruction; ruin.
    4. Obsolete . that which causes death or destroys life: entrapped and drowned beneath the watery bane

*Perhaps it was someone’s name originally? If so, sucks to be you.
