The Our Portland Story project is essentially a yearbook for Portland creative types (officially it’s a “community story project”). For each edition, since its founding in 2008, the organizers have put a call out to anyone who wants to suggest themselves as a writer or designer to share a “Portland story” of some sort—the second volume, which just came out, features 77 such authors and 77 designers. The first volume of this project’s overall feel was rather cutesy, and not entirely outside the realm of Portlandia mockery, so it will be interesting to see if it’s matured in a new direction (because the city has, right guys?).
