Quick heads up, fans of experimental cinema: Cinema Project is taking over Holocene tonight to help fund their upcoming season, cranking out music and 16mm projector performances. Take it away, cut-and-pasted Cinema Project newsletter!
We’ve got a fun evening of projector performances and live music in store, which features the talents of Matt Carlson, Stephen Slappe, Mia Ferm and DJ DNA (of XRAY.fm and Splash). And in addition to the music and performances we’ll be bringing along a selection of Cinema Project’s signature letter-pressed program posters, pulled from the archive and made available for you to purchase and take home. The cost is $8 and proceeds go toward supporting the films, videos, and artists featured this season.
The details on tonight’s event are here, and details about Cinema Project’s next batch of screenings—which start on September 29 and go through December—are here.
