- Trevor Noah
Since this morning’s news that Trevor Noah’s been tapped to replace Jon Stewart on The Daily Show, every news outlet ever’s running stories with headers like, “SIX THINGS YOU’VE GOT TO KNOW ABOUT TREVOR NOAH”* and “WE FOUND SOME VIDEOS OF TREVOR NOAH AND NOW IT’S AN ARTICLE.”** So instead of doing that, I took to Twitter to round up the responses of such thought leaders as John Hodgman, and Amy Schumer. Here’s what these noted loudmouths have to say to Trevor Noah’s dimples! Trevor Noah:
Here’s the always-delightful John Hodgman:
I think @Trevornoah is going to be an amazing host so my plans to steal the set of the Daily Show for my private museum this weekend are OFF
— John Hodgman (@hodgman) March 30, 2015
Neal Brennan:
When I first met @Trevornoah, I found his comedy too polite. I soon realized it was a trojan horse. He’ll be excellent on @TheDailyShow.

*Translation: “WE HADN’T HEARD ABOUT THIS GUY UNTIL TODAY, WE ARE REALLY JUST EDUCATING OURSELVES AND CALLING IT A PUBLIC SERVICE.”
**See above, only with even less words.
AMY SCHUMER (!!!!) and even more kindhearted (and not-so-kindhearted) stand-ups after the jump.
Congrats @Trevornoah you will be amazing! We are so lucky to have you!

Awwwww, Moshe Kasher:
I honestly can’t think of a better choice for the Daily Show than @Trevornoah. I mean yeah they could’ve chosen me but other than that…

Loni Love detects a conspiracy:
No shade to Trevor Noah or James Corden but these Tv Networks act like there are no American stand up comics to give a show to…
— Loni Love (@LoniLove) March 30, 2015
I mostly disagree with everything Jim Norton says, but this is nice:
I think @TrevorNoah is hilarious and I’m as happy for him as I can be for any comic who’s doing better than me.
— Jim Norton (@JimNorton) March 30, 2015
And the lovely Kristen Schaal:
Congratulations @Trevornoah! Looking forward to seeing you behind @TheDailyShow desk.

Finally, if you still need to read a catch-up article on Noah, here’s an okay one. SIGH.
