Like most years, 2017 was bittersweet. We gained some iconic records, like Kendrick Lamar’s Damn and Mount Eerie’s A Crow Looked at Me. We lost some treasured idols, like the forever-heartbreaking Tom Petty and Portland’s own Fred Cole. And we turned to music to navigate life in a world that feels like it’s slowly imploding.
