It has been a couple of weeks since my last installment of “Trashy video of the week” because I have actually had the will to go out and do stuff. This weekend isn’t looking too good though. In lieu of Vicky Cristina Barcelona, here is this week’s choice.
Film: Woman On Top
A brief description: Penelope Cruz plays a Brazilian hottie chef with extreme motion sickness and a gorgeous husband. Because of her motion sickness she has to do everything involving movement herself, including in between the sheets. Her husband cheats on her for this, so she curses love and moves to San Francisco. The curse brings her to star in a television cooking show, only to have her husband show up and serenade her. The curse is eventually broken and she moves back to Brazil, back on top.
This movie has a lot of camp to it, including magic spells, lame ass special effects, and Michael from Lost dressed in drag. But oh, Penelope! This movie was made as an excuse just to have more things with her in it to look at, and I don’t mind it.
