Very rarely a music video comes along that is just so jaw-droppingly awful, it rises to the level of AMAZING. Folks, meet Jan Terri and her 1993 video “Losing You.” If you’re anything like me, you’ll be curious at the one minute mark, hooked by 2:20, floored by 3:10, and singing the chorus at the top of your lungs by minute four!
Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.) More by Wm. Steven Humphrey

Catchy as fuck. We must find this lady and interview her, and then provide her with a temple to sit in, so that Mercury readers can come worship at her feet.
the fact that this video exists makes me feel a lot better about the viability of my future as a post-ironic artist
I have lived in Chicago and this video is dead on. This would win the “My Pretty Chicago” film contest.
Plus she is keeping it real with the whole Limo thing:
from wiki:
“By 1992, Terri was working as a limo driver when she planned to return to making music. She recorded a collection of songs, and eventually had several music videos filmed to help promote them. Still working as a limousine driver, Terri would give copies of the videos to her clients in an attempt to drum up interest in her fledgling singing career. These became cult favorites in advertising and marketing circles for Terri’s earnest but unschooled singing style and the videos’ amateur production quality.”
Whoa, this totally kicks ass. Did you see that guys driving gloves!!! I’m a bit confused why she chose to sing her love song beside the sewage treatment plant though…
And of course, the bf has a mullet. Of COURSE he does.
wow
Pretty good, but let’s not forget that she has a strong contender in the Awesome Video contest: Tbaby
