Ibiza, an Old Town restaurant and lounge with a tapas influenced menu, was raided this morning by Portland police as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged fraudulent bank transactions. According to the Portland Police bureau, officers arrested one 43 yr old Ramin Zamani in connection with the case on two counts of Theft in the First Degree, and one count of Theft in the Second Degree.
Further details on the arrest remain unclear. Contacted by phone, a representative of Ibiza refused to comment on the raid or whether or not the business would remain open in the near future.

I am from out of state and go to this club everytime I am in town. The staff are great and the food is incredible. I have met so many wonderful people in the club, and have only heard positive comments from all who enter.
We as a society know that the media tends to blow things out of proportion. For crying out loud the man didn’t kill someone. GO Ibiza!!!!! I’ve had some of the best times of my life there.
Serves him right. I worked on the remodel just before Ibiza opened for business, This guy was the most arrogant bastard one could ever be associated with.
I do a lot of work constructing & remodeling nightclubs and resturants I’ve met a good share of lowlife owners.
In all fairness, Some owners are great people, This guy is at the top (or bottom depends how one views it) of the list.

This place is a joke… I was hired for a bartender position on Dec 30th and only worked New Years Eve… Everyday he gave all of us the run-around about schedules and our paychecks… I have not worked since then– I gave up on hoping for a shift at that shady place… I finally went in to get my paycheck for the hours I worked– and Ramin, the owner, gave me a bad check– turns out it was a fraud check and the bank advised to contact the police…
I should have listened to my gut when I got hired there– I knew something wasn’t right with that asshole Ramin… Not only did he give me a bad check, he promised me money (shifts) so I could work and pay bills…
Now, he owes me money, and from what I heard and by the note on the door, looks like they will not be re-opening now…
I hope he ends up in jail for a long time.. Fuck Ibiza..
