The irony of course being that the Mercury led by Sarah and Matt championing the 12 angry architects led by Brian Libby did the Blazers bidding by “saving” the memorial coliseum.
Now you are trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube after the fact.
Great work guys. Way to think through the consequences of your actions.
The irony of course being that the Mercury’s championing of the 12 angry architects led by Sarah and Matt actually paved the way for Cordish or whatever the Blazers are thinking about doing.
Way to go guys in “saving” the Memorial Colesium. Great job.
Sorry for the double post folks. ๐ Computer glich.
Am I the only one who think the first picture looks a lot more fun than the second one?
Oh, I’m sorry, this is Portland. Save our drab grey box! Save our drab grey town!
@Finnegan: No need to apologize, it made more sense the second time.
“Twice-monthly two-hour meetings”– are these in the middle of the day or in the evenings?
Ask Kansas City how well it is working for them.
As a resident of lloyd, it would be nice to have SOMETHING down there. Not KC LIVE!!!! but something.
@dmitrir Nope, I think the first one looks more fun too. Full neon ahead!
bike track
I don’t care what goes there as long as it isn’t the Memorial Coliseum. It’s a giant money sucking waste of space on a very valuable parcel of land in a city lacking in buildable space. Somehow I doubt Allen’s Vulcans will succeed in getting their Live! district built in the end but “saving” the Memorial Coliseum from becoming a baseball field was the first step in that direction.
Both visions kind of blow.
Can we ever have a happy medium or must this too fall on the sides of the wings?
