Sweet Jesus, vegan baked goods taste like cat hair, but with a less pleasing texture.
Wow. A whole TEN THOUSAND?! Sheesh.
Um, nothing tastes better than BACON!
Good cause? Anyone? Oh, I’m sorry. You’d obviously rather be an asshole. Stay classy, Blogtown.
I went to another bake sale put on by these fine folks last month, and I ate a ton of super great desserts. I didn’t even realize/care that the goods were vegan.
Steve R.’s tastebuds are broken.
Steve R, you’re insane. I just saw a blind taste test on a blog post between vegan cupcakes and Martha Stewart cupcakes (same type) and the vegan cupcakes won hands down amongst people who could tell the difference (many couldn’t). Plus, they’re much more healthy.
Talk shit about vegan pizza or vegan hot dogs if you want (even though it means you’ve never tried Field Roast). Vegan baked goods are just better than the ones with eggs in them. Putting blended eggs in baked goods is the same as putting mayo in them – gross.
And really, Matt Davis? It’s not a million dollars but they’re freaking volunteer bake sales, jerk.
Davis is mad cause there is no sausage to stuff in his limey pie hole.
Why are vegans always defending their food? You’re worse than Christians. I’d rather just send money and not have to eat vegan shit, no matter how good you say it tastes.
Why does every mention of vegatarianism/veganism automatically become a referendum on their validity? What other groups do we do that with?
Personally, I enjoy every time a vegan vs omnivore fight breaks out. You did not let me down, Blogtown.
not really the point here, but i do want to point out that it is a common misconception that vegan sweets are better for you. the things used as substitutes are often on par health wise (i.e., not at all) or much worse for you…
Not a vegan, but good cooking is good cooking.
Not a compassionate human being, but appreciate that good karma is good karma.
Since few of us know squat about much of anything, a simple “right on” will do
Well, right on.
@Baltar666 glad you DONT have to eat our (vegan) food. Keep on eating all the eggs, cheese, and meat. dont even eat any veggies or fruits. u can keep all the high blood, alzheimers, diabetes, clogged arteries, acne, and quadruple bypass surgery (ask bill clinton the notorious eater of krispy kreme donuts and shitdogs oh i mean hot dogs). Do what you want with ur body kill it, die before your 120 years old & live old on fake medication made of pig (gel caps) and arthritis from eating acidic meat ur body isn’t meant to. its on you lol
