Tonight at the Hollywood, the Grindhouse Film Festival presents the great Five Element Ninjas. From My, What a Busy Week!:

NINJAS—Tonight the Grindhouse Film Fest presents the 1982 kung fu classic Five Element Ninjas! Directed by Chang Cheh and starring the Venom Mob—and presented in Shaw Scope, natch—this rare 35mm screening will contain enough bloody, awesome, chop-socky action to delight even the most discriminating kung fu fan. Hollywood Theatre, 4122 NE Sandy, 7 pm, $7

I’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to tonight’s screening, and all you have to do to enter to win ’em is email me no later than 2 pm PST today, and make sure “Audio-Visual Entertainment” is the subject line of your email. Around 2, I’ll pick a winner at random and email them back to let them know they’ve won. Also, take note: If you win, you’ll need to be able to swing by the Mercury‘s HQ in NE Portland sometime between 2 and 5 pm today in order to pick up the tickets.

Okay, I think that’s it. Go!

  1. I fucking love this movie (aka, “Super Ninjas” & “Chinese Super Ninjas”). When I was probably 12 I saw it on USA Network’s Kung Fu June, and probably watched my VHS taping 20+ times. It’s equally hilarious and awesome, especially the Wood Ninjas. Too bad I’m in Berkeley or I’d totally go see it on the big screen.
