Perhaps you saw this over the weekend, perhaps you didn’t. Either way it deserves a first and second viewing.
Lets break it down:
Ewald Stadler an Austrian MP stands before the Parliament and addresses a Turkish ambassador. It starts out rather polite and staid.
However, less than a minute into his speech, Stadler goes off on the ambassador. He calls Turkey hypocritical and accuses them of sending them illiterates and “stone-age Islamists.”
At first the people in the room argue against Stadler and think he’s gone overboard against Turkey. However, by the end of the video, Stadler has the entire room applauding and cheering him.
It also might be a little bit racist.

It might be a little bit racist? What the fuck, is it or not and if so where was the little bit racism part?
The line towards the end:
“Mr. Ambassador enter the Orient Express and go back to Istanbul, your wonderland!”
Could be construed as racist.
“‘Mr. Ambassador enter the Orient Express and go back to Istanbul, your wonderland!’
Could be construed as racist.”
Yeah, so?
Man, that is the most desperate attempt to finding something that doesn’t exist. I am not sure how you came across this posting or what your interest is in Turkish relations, but it appears you havent a clue.
That guy is a member of a separatist, fascist party (BZO, formally FPO), so it’s a bit extreme, but he does raise a very good point about “one-way-street tolerance” that a lot of Europeans agree with.
Turkey is a race?
