Earlier this morning, Mitt Romney was at a photo op in a New Hampshire diner. He was posing with some waitresses. Then, things got a little weird:
Before the picture was snapped, he jumped up, declaring: “Oh, my goodness,” as if a waitress had grabbed his rear. Turns out, none of the waitresses were getting frisky.“I was just teasing the girls,” Romney said.
What a joker! See? He’s totally human, you guys. Whenever Mitt Romney goes off-script, the resulting awkward exchange always feels a bit creepy or condescending, or both:
I’m no fan of Romney… but this is looking too hard to find fault.
This isn’t looking too hard to find a fault. The article was portraying Romney as not “too stuffy to be president.” Creepy doesn’t counteract stuffy.
