In Other Words (IOW)
IOW opened its doors in 1993 and is one of the last independent feminist bookstores in the United States. IOW seeks to strengthen resistance against a culture of oppression and operates as a safe community center for women, people of color, queer, trans, gender variant folks, and more so that folks can organize for self-determination and build a sustainable, intersectional movement for liberation.

Opportunities and commitment: IOW is looking for volunteers who can contribute skills in computer and technology, fundraising, grant writing, and folks looking to organize or host meetups and events.
