As things get darker and weirder, the hackers are around to make sure that people don't forget about the Murdoch phone-hacking scandal. LulzSec has hacked the hell out of one of Rupert Murdoch's papers, posting a phony story about Murdoch being found dead in his garden. (You can read the full story at Gizmodo.) They also claimed that they directed the Times' traffic to their Twitter feed, where they're currently boasting about the hack:

Say what you will about the morality of hacking sites, but when you're dealing with a man who controls a sizable chunk of the world's media, I think you could make the case that this sort of action is absolutely necessary.
